The probability of faulty synchronization a generator is very small, but not impossible. main cause due to wiring errors caused during maintenance or commissioning when voltage transformer and synchronizing equipment are connected reconnected wrongly. Faulty synchronizations synchronous generators overcurrent high electromagnetic torque values that can severely damage, only the their selves, also prime movers step-up transformers. Moreover, they produce disturbances on power system such as oscillations sags end up collapsing if it cleared quickly. Despite that, conventional protection systems have specific function against synchronizations. This paper presents analyzes new method based an instantaneous low setting activated Once ends, gets disabled in order allow increase output. Consequently, minimizes damages disturbance through rapid detection tripping. has been successfully validated by computer simulations for thermal plant 362 MVA turbo-generator, experimental tests 5 kVA laboratory generation unit.
